Samenvatting
This report reviews the infrastructural measures taken to reduce traffic problems in the Netherlands over the last 15 years. Their feasibility, and their effects upon traffic safety are described. An area wide approach is likely to be more successful than one- off measures. It is also becoming increasingly apparent that an integrated municipal approach to traffic safety is more effective. Local civic organisations should also participate in the planning of such systems.
