Samenvatting
A survey was conducted of safety belt use in Belgium after the introduction of compulsory presence of safety belts in new cars. A sample of 1000 pp. was interviewed on ownership and use of safety belts, their views with respect to compulsory use and preventive effects, possession of head rests, etc. An additional survey was conducted of the presence of seat belts in learner cars and the amount of attention devoted to seat belts by driving instructors.
