Samenvatting
The international literature does not allow general statements regarding the effect of traffic signals on intersectional accidents. However, a number of factors are given influencing the effect. Such are the 24- hours traffic volume and the number of accidents before signalization. The effect of the installation of traffic signals varies with road user categories and accident types.
