Samenvatting
Can any major reduction in noise be achieved by switching off traffic lights during night time? For the answering of this question sound measurements were conducted at four selected traffic lights within the years 1981/82 and the results are presented. The observed reductions do not represent any major relief to the pertinent guidelines and regulations for evaluating traffic noise levels.
