The favourable price development in hard- and software products has meant that the use of electronic data processing for transit authorities, including the technical field of operations, is rather a challenge to management than a financial risk. Programs, already available or appearing in the future, which are compatible with the standard of the BISON data model, have performance and integration capacities which can decisively improve operational control within the transit authorities.
