Samenvatting
Results of an investigation about the effectiveness of the two different types of median barriers: the wire rope barrier and the two offset metal beam barrier, are presented. The research was done according to the following criteria: (1) behaviour of the vehicle during and after the collision with the median barrier; (2) personal injuries due to accidents at the median barrier: and (3) repair cost of the barrier and the vehicles.
