Samenvatting

Requirement to exchange various kinds of information on road network is increasing. Due to difference of the network data, latitude/longitude may not point to exact locations on roads. There is a demand for stable location referencing method. As a location referencing method, links of the network data are set as a coordinate axis, and intersections, kilometer posts, etc. are set as reference points. The locations are represented by using distance from the reference points along the links. The proposed method isverified with cooperation between government and the private sectors, andimprovement points of the method are confirmed.
