The report is a summary of the meanings and ideas on different aspects of traffic safety as they are given by fifteen organizations and administrations, which are involved with traffic safety research. Traffic safety is a social problem and each road user has a special social role. He behaves according special values and standards. The most important value in the existing traffic system is considered to be the value of speed. The road user wants to satisfy his need to mobility as soon as possible.
