Samenvatting
The objective of this paper is to present roughly the main characteristics of transportation research by comparing the four biggest cities of the Rimcity in the Netherlands. An overview is given of the daily practice of transportation research within these big municipalities, The main differences in data collecting and transportation models are emphasized.
