Samenvatting
So far, area traffic control in networks of road traffic has been accomplished by means of fixed-time signals with a fixed co-ordination. Since the introduction of the computer simulation program FLEXSYT a great deal of experience has been developed. This paper gives an impression of how area traffic can be achieved, it motivates on good process-control theory grounds the use of v.a. controlled network intersections.
