Samenvatting
For the safety on motorways research has been done to direct information processing to vehicle drivers. Four possibilities for communication were studied. In the Netherlands preference was given to the visual information processing by variable traffic signs. After 10 years of preparation such a system is being installed on the motorway from Gouda to Utrecht. The system, the excention of the system, and its construction are discussed briefly.
