Reduction and prevention of impediments by traffic might be introduced in the Dutch Road Traffic Act. This necessitates an extension of the present range of instruments, because nowadays a so-called crown appeal permits only a marginal evaluation. Extension of the concept of accessibility is necessary as well. Socio-economic effects should be taken into account.
