This report presents the results of the third and final phase of the Road Safety at Roadworks study which SWOV carried out commissioned by the Dutch Information and Technology Platform for Infrastructure, Traffic, Transport and Public Space (CROW). Using an assessment of roadworks projects we tried to gain a better insight in aspects of the layout that could be (partly) responsible for crashes. This study therefore does not examine crashes, but the locations and circumstances where roadworks are carried out.
