Samenvatting
The roundabout has got a new interest during the last years. During 1987- 1988 almost fifty new roundabouts were constructed in the Netherlands. In general, these are smaller than the earlier constructed ones. This report summarizes knowledge based on different research on roundabouts. Considered aspects are: layout, geometric variables, intersection legs, bicycle provisions, access and exit design priority, carriageway marking, surface texture, signalization, superelevation and lighting. g
