Samenvatting
Traffic engineering has to do with the layout, the construction and the use of the roads. This speciality has developed from a craft occupation into a more scientific practice also, by the confrontation between practice and study. The speciality is a bridge between road construction at one side and physical planning and traffic planning at the other side. The Stichting Studiecentrum Verkeerstechniek has been founded 10 years ago. In a look into the past and into the future the development of traffic technique to technical traffic engineering is given.
