Samenvatting
Many Dutch local road authorities use an automated procedure called "Verkeersmilieukaart" to find out what the environmental problems (in terms of noise and fumes) of a present of future road network are. On the basis of this procedure one can compare different options of the future road network and choose the option which gives the best results for "environment". The SWOV has developed a tool which also shows the safety level of each option.
