Samenvatting
The literature concerning provisions for visually impaired persons has been summarised and analysed. The main causes of visual impairment are described and research is reviewed in the field of information processing by the visually impaired. Traffic provisions, individual aids, training and education facilities for the visually impaired are summarised.
