Samenvatting
The first large experiment in Northrhine-Westfalia on traffic restraint in residential areas was executed between 1977 and 1979 in 30 different residential areas. Five years later after finishing this large experiment the many different activities in practice and science still follow the "Leitmotiv". Traffic restraint, slow down speed, better living quality, space for pedestrians and playing children parking places etc. are still main aspects.
