Performance improvements and simultaneous decreases in computer hardware, together with advances in new communications media, have made it possible to construct traffic information systems at a reasonable price. This paper presents the prototype example of the DAISY- system (Dynamic Inquiry and Information System for Individual Traffic Route Planning).
