Samenvatting
It is the goal of the present study to explore the limits for acceleration a human organism can be exposed to without loss of postural balance. A comparison of data obtained in the laboratory with measurements during public transportation proved that in traim, bus and subway, the jerk as well as the level of acceleration are principally unmanageable without a support. The suggestion has been made that a build-in limitation of the jerk component could offer a substantial contribution in solving this problem.
