Samenvatting
This paper deals with the interurban travel pattern of inhabitants of small towns and its significance for interurban road traffic in the Netherlands. The size and spatial orientation of these personal travel flows are examined. Personal travelfrequency by trip type, mode and purpose are analyzed. Special attention is given to interurban commuting.
