Samenvatting

This paper presents a review of both field and laboratory studies of human reaction to vibration, to try to answer the question whether laboratory based studies may be used to predict comfort levels for passenger vehicles. The conclusion is reached that such studies may be used, provided their restrictions are understood. Finally, tentative suggestions are made for acceptable levels of vibration in passenger transport vehicles.(A)
