VICS development of services in Japan and customer satisfaction (CS).

The VICS Centre, Japan's VICS information service operating corporation, was established in July 1995. The first year of the new millennium marks its fifth year of establishment. Since it began to provide services in April 1996, the VICS Centre has been providing information to the Tokyo metropolitan area and on the Tomei and Meishin Expressways. During these years, the VICS service areas have expanded rapidly, and the number of in-car VICS navigation units shipped exceeded expectations. Nationwide VICS service is expected to be accomplished much sooner than originally expected, and the number of users is anticipated to keep on growing.
