Samenvatting

In May 1984 the Victorian government introduced the Zero Blood Alcohol Legislation which makes it an offence for first year probationary drivers and learner permit holders to drive a vehicle while alcohol is present in the blood. One possible effect of the legislation was an increase in the number of probationary drivers not displaying their P-plates in order to avoid detection. A survey was held but no change in P-plate use was found.
