More intelligent and faster image analysis algorithms keep on enhancing road tunnel safety. Newly released tracking algorithms follow image changesin the depth of field while concomitantly memorising events, thus enhancing road safety applications, from detecting spreading smoke clouds in a tunnel to identifying 'invisible' vehicle stoppages.
