In order to develop ITS solutions along the road network, effectively, aneasy access to various related data banks would be necessary. It also would be required to provide an easy link among all these data banks in orderto provide a combined analysis of all these data together. Among these data banks, road alignment characteristics, road installations, traffic-related data, accident data and metrological data are accessible. Existence ofa visual tool which could provide such a link between the film of the road and descriptive information of such a segment of a road could play multiple roles: it could help to combine different factors affecting the road safety quality; it reduces trip costs for doing road surveys; it facilitates analysis by forming groups of experts at office; and it provides the possibility of showing the film of a segment of a road repeatedly to find appropriate solutions.
