Samenvatting
The author considers the components of a closed circuit television system for traffic surveillance noting those products made by Cohu Inc.. The types of video cameras available are discussed with particular reference to lenses, environmental enclosure and sun shields. The role of manual, sequencing and matrix video switching equipment is considered. The use of hard wire coaxial cable, fibre optic and microwave techniques are compared. Operations carried out by the System Controller are outlined. Miscellaneous equipment also considered includes monitors, camera identification systems and image storage systems.
