Vision and driving : a new approach to measuring the visual capabilities of drivers.

It is stated that past failures to show a strong relationship between visual performance capability and accident record are caused because appropriate tests of visual performance have not been used. A Driver Vision Testing Device is described which has been used in screening the visual capability and results are given.
