Samenvatting

This paper presents a variety of examples of accidents that involved issues of vision and visibility. Consideration of issues of human visual performance can be very useful in the reconstruction of these accidents. The paper illustrates the use of two different visibility models that have been applied under nighttime driving conditions: (1) Revised DETECT model; and (2) Adrian's model. The paper also compares their predictions.
