Samenvatting
The set-up and development of the radio data service-traffic management control (RDS-TMC) service in Bavaria is described. The Bavarian RDS-TMC forum consists of public authorities, private companies and consultants/universities. Other organisations involved in message delivery are listed, the structure of the system and trials are outlined. The co-operation of the police and the radio broadcasting company is considered particularly important. Further improvements to the software and operating systems are suggested so that a fully automatic message relay system can be implemented.
