This volume presents papers from the Sixth International Conference on Vision in Vehicles, which was held at the University of Derby, 13-16 September 1995. The papers have been arranged to begin by examining the visual search behaviour of the driver and to consider the use of visual information which affects steering and the perception of time to collision. Various aspects of displays are detailed such as advances to minimise night driving accidents, display workload demands, and human factors. The road environment and driver behaviour are then covered, followed by environmental sources of perceptual impairment and visual impairment of the driver. For abstracts of individual papers see C 15981 - C 16017.
