Samenvatting
In this paper, the main features of the first urban traffic information broadcast service are described and the overall guidelines of the genuine project are reviewed. After seeing how tasks may be shared between the operator, the Civil Service, and the broadcasting company, the main technical characteristics and the services provided to the customer are described. Finally, the evolution of broadcast techniques and the forthcoming enhancements to the service in a European context are presented.
