Samenvatting
With regard to the choice of vision tests for driver licensing it should be based on factual information concerning the relationship between various aspects of visual performance and driving performance. Although, the importance of vision is obvious to all, research in this field has until recently failed, and therefore, the NHTSA is currently funding a research project to develop an integrated vision testing device for use in screening driver licence applicants.
