Samenvatting
In 1974 a draft of a new law regarding the periodical vehicle inspection was presented to the parliament. A literature review was made to study the effect of such a measure. A mandatory vehicle inspection is not the only countermeasure for the prevention of accidents caused by technical defects. Other measures are also discussed.
