This report contains the results of the "Vehicle characteristics of Dutch population of cars, lorries and buses" project. The goal of this project was: (1) to find vehicle parameters, which are important for the traffic process and the design of infrastructure; and (2) to establish how much the values of those parameters vary for the total car population in the Netherlands, differentiated for road type. Part of the study is an update of a report published in 1980 (See B 17987 (IRRD 252918).
