Samenvatting
The general design of the ESV and special safety characteristics with particular reference to occupant protection are described. Tests performed with the ESV are mentioned and some results of the impact tests are presented. Benefit cost studies indicate that much of the excessive ESV costs come from the high-speed crash requirements of the specifications.
