An investigation is made into the presence and planning of provisions for cyclists and moped-riders in Dutch cities. Adjacent, two sided paths for cyclists and moped riders are often found, specially in larger cities and even are still being designed as a new provision. Free, separate paths however are more popular in all groups of cities. In larger cities cycle lanes are very popular. There is no special preference for a combination of cyclists, moped riders and/ or pedestrians. Much attention is paid to traffic control systems which can be actuated by cyclists and moped riders.
