Samenvatting
The Volkswagen-transporter, a front-drive vehicle, fulfils the requirements of the 30 mph head on wall test. To reach this result, special construction parts have been developed and used. They, have proven effective in head-on collisions in normal traffic and give the transporter a safety level equal to that of modern passenger cars. The special parts and their behaviour are described in this article.
