Samenvatting
When the woonerf-principle gained ground there was a tendency towards more public participation in the decision making process. In some cases the municipal authorities conducted surveys to fit the new street design as much as possible to the requirements and wishes of the residents. Present data indicate that most woonerf residents have the opinion that the woonerf-principle succeeded in improving the environmental quality.
