Driving behaviour is influenced by the way a driver perceives the road and its environment. This process of processing visual information also has a significant impact on selection of speed and way of driving generally. The paper discusses: road design and its impact on driving and speed; the efficiency of signalization, and indirect influences of the environment on driving behaviour.
