Samenvatting
In a year there are about 60 level crossing collisions involving personal injuries. The mortality amongst the road users is at least seven times higher than in other road accidents with personal injuries. Factors investigated here were traffic flows in open and guarded level crossings with light and aural signals, sight distance at open level crossings with crossed marker posts, the administration of justice after collisions and the state subsidy for level crossing traffic safety measures is used.
