Samenvatting
The development of a mathematical model for the traffic pattern on a two-lane road outside built-up areas where there is no limitation of the possibility of overtaking is described. The method can be used to calculate the interrelation between the parameters of the speed distribution and the traffic volume in both directions as well as the percentage of lorries. The model can be used as an aid in determining the capacity of roads outside built-up areas.
