Samenvatting
It is pointed out that the "world" of tyres is continually in motion. In order to get an answer to the question whether changes in this area can be considered as improvements, 21 tyres from the 70-series were tested by the Dutch Consumers' Organization in cooperation with 7 European (sister) organizations. The tyres were tested on a dry, wet, icy and snowy road surface (mountain pass). In general, the quality of the various tyres appears to be good. Few differences were found between the various tyres, when viewing the aspects dry and wet road surface and wastage. Greater differences were found, when the tyres were tested on the snow-covered pass.
