Samenvatting
A small accident investigation team at the Road Research Laboratory studied the contributory factors for an accident. Vehicle factors noted were of three types, viz. :Defects, unsatisfactory design, and overloading of driving task. Discussed are improvements of vehicle primary safety features, secondary safety, restraint systems, car design and automatic control.
