Weak points of cars 1980. Periodic inspections during 1979 : make by make account of the faults in passenger cars of the 1974, 1976 and 1977 models, and separately the 1970 models.

Sweden's Vehicle Act stipulates that all registered vehicles and trailers must be inspected annually from the second year after that of the year model designation, with special rules concerning the inspection time and interval for emergency vehicles, public passenger transport vehicles and hire cars. The statistics presented in this report are derived from these inspections and take the form of relative observation frequencies and percentages for different main systems and subsystems and for different kind of vehicles. "Weak points" are indicated by high observation frequencies.
