Samenvatting
The total need of energy in the sector of road construction can be categorized into: 1) the energy content of the applied materials, 2) transport energy, 3) construction energy and 4) indirect energy. Energy savings in category 2 and 3 are important for the road constructor due to their decreasing effect in costs. Optimizing the use of materials and energy in transportation are discussed.
