Samenvatting
In 1975 the Noise Hindrance law was accepted in the parliament of the Netherlands. In this law many regulations are made with regard to road traffic noise. The attention for the problems of traffic noise has become more important for the designer of the road by this law. Besides measures which can be taken in the design of a new road to decrease the traffic noise, there are also measures which can be taken in existing situations with road traffic noise. Traffic engineering is a part of these measures.
