Samenvatting
This paper is divided into the following parts- 1) general consideration, 2) reasons to implement the weighing master plan, and 3) operational development program. The federal highway department in Brazil, has created an extensive pro-gram in order to control the vehicles cargo weight load utilizing the federal highway network; by using this system the axle load of the vehicles in motion can be checked. The aim of the plan is to lessen the wear of special construction work and paved roads as well as reduce fuel operational costs.
