Samenvatting
The aims, the supposes and the actual working of the legal traffic rules are discussed. The most important aims are the improvement of traffic safety and traffic flow. The aims as mentioned in the official traffic regulations are however in practice not always obtained. Problems arise when it is difficult to see if the behaviour of the road user is dangerous or not, and because for the legislator, the road administrator and the road user other considerations play a role.
