For this scientific poster compatible published and unpublished injury costs were used to estimate the riskiness of competing travel modes. The passenger travel modes considered were vehicles driven by drunk drivers, other passenger vehicles (broken down by vehicle type), motorcycles, bicycles, heavy rail, commercial aviation and general aviation. The freight modes considered were rail, single truck and combination truck. Injury costs per passenger mile or ton mile and per vehicle were computed. Some results are shortly mentioned.
